How to use lemon to get rid of blackheads at home!

Method – 1: (Lemon Scrub with Salt)

Salt exfoliates the skin to remove dead cells, germs, dirt, oil, and pollution from skin’s surface. Lemon – salt scrub is an antibacterial face scrub that effectively cleanses the skin and makes you feel dirt free and fresh.

Steps to be followed…

  • Combine 1 tablespoon of sea salt, 1/2 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of pure water in a bowl.
  • Stir it well and cleanse your face and hands with warm water.
  • Dry your face and apply the scrub mix on all over your face.
  • Massage it gently in circular motion for 3 – 5 minutes by concentrating more on the blackheads.
  • Rinse it with warm water and finally, splash it with cold water to close the pores.
  • Dry the skin with a soft towel to look a refreshed and clean face.
  • Constant follow up of this scrubbing process will definitely help you in clearing the blackheads completely on the face.

Note:

  • Another way to scrub away the blackheads is to sprinkle some sugar granules on a lemon slice and start rubbing the slice on blackheads. Also, prepare a scrub paste by adding sugar in lemon juice till it forms a thick paste.
  • Or simply rub the lemon slice on the blackheads for few minutes and rinse off to remove blackheads.
  • Alternatively, pour few drops of raw honey and a little of sugar on half a lemon. Rub it gently on affected areas and rinse off after 10 minutes.
  • Also, include yogurt and honey instead of water in the above lemon – salt scrub and do the same process.

Method – 2: (Lemon Juice)

Lemon shrinks the skin pores to tighten and lightens the skin, as it acts as an excellent skin toner.

Steps to be followed…

  • Rinse your face with mild soap and water to open up the skin pores.
  • Dry the skin and freshly squeezed lemon juice in a bowl.
  • Apply this juice to affected skin areas using cotton balls at night before bedtime.
  • Let it sit for overnight and wash it with lukewarm water followed by cold water.
  • Dry the skin to apply moisturizer and refrigerate the remaining mix for further usage.
  • Regular follow-up of this process for 3 – 4 times a week will give relief from the problem.

  • If you have dry or sensitive skin, then it’s a must to dilute the lemon juice with water before applying to the affected skin areas to prevent stinging sensation and other side effects.
  • You can also wash off the lemon mix after 20 – 30 minutes to prevent the stinging sensation on the skin (if you feel it).

Method – 3: (Lemon Facial Cleanser with Milk)

Milk in this process reduces the acidic effect of lemon on the skin and smoothly clears all the blackheads from the skin.

Steps to be followed…

  • Combine 1 teaspoon of lemon juice with 1 tablespoon of milk.
  • Use this mix to clean your face.
  • Or soak a cotton ball in this mix and apply it on the affected areas for 3 – 4 minutes.
  • Finally, rinse it off with cold water and dry the skin.
  • Do the cleansing process daily until you get rid of the problem.

Note:

  • Use rosewater instead of milk in the above process.
  • Simply mix 1 part of lemon juice with 5 parts of warm water. Use this mix to splash on the face and then rinse with cool water.
